The International School Dhaka, Parent Teacher Association Annual Fair

The International School Dhaka, Parent Teacher Association has completed yet another successful annual fair in ISD on Friday, 3 December. The event is a coming together of the ISD community, parents, staff and students in order to raise funds for several charitable causes. It also portrays the home-school partnership, which is a major highlight of the school.

This year, there were approximately a hundred and fifteen stalls consisting of NGOs, food outlets, fashion outlets, corporate companies and a lot more. There were attractions for every age and thus appealed to a greater number of people. Students also assisted, willingly, in manning a few stalls at the fair. Live music was performed by a student rock band and the choir, which involved students from Primary and Secondary. It was arranged by ISD music teachers, Eivind Lodomel and Jennifer Tickle.

Towards the end of the event, speeches were presented by the President, ISDPTA and Chairperson, Fair Committee, Tania Siddique and Dinar Sadat, respectively and CEO, ISD, Richard Tangye. It was followed by a fashion show, choreographed by an ISD parent, Sushmita Bhattacharya and was displayed by both the teachers and students of ISD. The day ended with the Raffle Draw, which had the following prizes; Dhaka-London-Dhaka couple's tickets sponsored by Kuwait Airlines; a Dhaka-Casablanca-Dhaka single ticket sponsored by Etihad; and Dhaka-Colombo-Dhaka couple's tickets sponsored by Mihin Lanka Airlines.
