AIUB Celebrates Marketing Day

Even a journey of a thousand miles begins with one single step. It all begins with one single initiative.AIUB Marketing Department started their festival with the slogan, “We never say we are the best, we say we are unique”. Keeping these words in mind, students of AIUB Marketing Department along with their department Head, Rashed Chowdhury and Director Ehsanul Huda Chowdhury celebrated Marketing Day on December 8, 2010.

Marketing can bring about changes impossible by any other discipline. Since last decade the continuous progress in the field of marketing has made its mark in Bangladesh. This is not only because of the masterminds who developed the theories, but also for the people working relentlessly behind the development. AIUB Marketing Department wanted to bring together a few dynamites working in the marketing field under one umbrella to bring forth a combined force committed to the development of marketing.

The day offered myriads of activities. The programme began with a rally led by Pro vice Chancellor, Dr. Anawar Hossian, Vice-President (Academics) Dr. Tafazzal Hossain Director BBA, and MBA and the Head of the Marketing Department of AIUB. There was also an exhibition on personal selling, poster, TVC etc. The most attractive part was the talk show, which took place at the AIUB Auditorium.

There were guests from the corporate sector. Also present were members of the alumni of AIUB Marketing Department who are working in various companies like Nokia, Airtel, Grameen Phone, Media Com, Team Creative, Citycell and Dhaka Regency. The talk show was based on various prospects of marketing as a field of business.

A lively debate took place accompanied by a drama and cultural show. They all conveyed a theme related to the marketing field.

The event received media coverage by national TV channels like NTV and Channel I. Radio Foorti acted as the radio partner.

AIUB Marketing Department upon arranging the event received a positive response from various sectors. It urged the organizers to try their level best to hold on to the success in the future.
