Closing Ceremony of the 5th Postgraduate Diploma Course

Closing ceremony of the 5th Postgraduate Diploma Course in Governance Studies was jointly arranged by BCS Administration Academy and Northern University Bangladesh at the BCSA Academy on May 22, 2011. Abdul Aziz, ndc, Cabinet Secretary was the Chief Guest and Professor Dr M Shamsul Haque, Vice Chancellor, Northern University Bangladesh was special guest in the program. Fazle Kabir, Director General of the Academy chaired the programme.
Professor Dr M Shamsul Haque, VC, NUB said that given the divergence of goals in business and government it has become essential for civil servants to apply the concept of efficiency to deliver public service using certain tools and theories developed in business administration. Without efficiency the desired services can not be delivered with minimum costs.
Among others, Professor Dr Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah, Adviser, Department of Development and Governance Studies and Dr Kazi Shahdat Kabir, Head, Department of Development and Governance Studies, NUB were also present on the occasion. Ekramul Hoque, Director Training, of BCS Administration Academy delivered his welcome address as the Course Director at the beginning of the closing ceremony. Around 14 (deputy secretary to senior assistant secretary) participated in the 5th Postgraduate Diploma Course in Governance Studies.
