7th TLC Workshop on Teaching and Learning at BRAC University

A workshop on Teaching and Learning for the faculty members who joined BRAC University in the last few months was held at Savar Campus from May 7-10, 2012. Around 37 faculty members from different schools of BRACU participated in the workshop as residential participants. The heart of the four day long workshop was Professor Dr Md Golam Samdani Fakir, Pro- VC of BRACU assisted by Samina Anjum Chowdhury.

The different issues of teaching and learning pedagogy were addressed by the renowned resource persons of BRAC University. Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Ainun Nishat conducted a session where he shared his lifelong experiences on teaching, which certainly encouraged the faculties and would pave the way of better teaching for them. The Pro VC Dr Samdani conducted several sessions, which were very impressive and informative for the teachers. The registrar Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury shared his ideas and experiences on professional guidelines for BRAC university faculties.

This programme motivates them to work efficiently, earnestly and honestly for BRAC University. The reflection of the faculty members at the end of the workshop was very positive and motivating. Moreover, this residential gathering has created a bond among the faculty members of different schools to work jointly for the University. The ideas, experiences, knowledge they have gathered from here will pave the way for them for their professional development.
