I was a student at Rajshahi Cadet College. I completed my SSC and HSC from there and studied in North South University for a Bachelors degree in Business Administration (BBA). Cadet College was all about discipline. Discipline in every part of life and our lifestyle. Our fun was all about breaking the rules! It was some sort of a guilty pleasure when we used to break the rules successfully. But nothing can be worse than getting caught. Punishments were really hard back in my college days.

In the six years spent at cadet college, a cadet gets six excursions. My best moment was one of the six excursions when I went to Cox's Bazaar with my friends. Moreover, it was the first time I was going on a trip with a gang of friends and it was awesome.

To a boy coming from Cadet College, private university life seems very different. More freedom, different pattern of education, different lifestyle and it is more individualistic, whereas Cadet College is all about friends and team work.

Hanging out with friends is what I did during the class breaks and after bunking the classes. The place never matters when friends are there. All we need is a cup of tea or coffee and free flow discussion from politics and patriotism to sports and other random topics!

I have been advised, in the very early days of my working life, that 'when you are thinking something, always remember that this same thing might have been thought by a hundred other people. But whoever executes this first wins!' I believe it and always remember it.

I was inspired by many of my friends, seniors and even juniors. Anyone who is focused and has the ability to put a positive impact on another person is very inspiring to me. I always wanted to do something on my own. I love to do the work I like. But a 'job' is not only about great work. It requires 'some other talent' in you as well. I believe I am a dreamer. And I also believe that to be an entrepreneur, one has to be a dreamer first.

Everyone's dream is different. And the people who can execute his or her dream into real life are the ones who can shine. This realisation inspired me to start my own business.

I have a restaurant and resort at Teknaf. My plan is to make it bigger and eventually make it the peoples' most loved resort chain in Bangladesh. Also, I have tremendous interest in communication. As soon as I ensure the stability of the hospitality business, I plan to get into communication and advertising as well. I know for a dream that big, I need to chase it hard and I know I am ready to take that challenge.

For all the young growing entrepreneurs-- dream big and be honest with your dreams. One thing I have experienced is, people only stand by you when you can stand on your own.
