Lives in Ruins

A Photo Story by Palash Khan

It was a regular workday that ended in chaos, destruction and death, followed by widespread protests demanding justice. The only true justice that can be delivered to the hundreds of factory fire victims over the past several years, however, is that such avoidable tragedies never occur ever again.

Forum pays tribute to the lives lost in the recent garment factory fire in Ashuliya and to the hundreds killed and injured in previous tragedies. See page 64 for related story.

Palash Khan is a staff photographer of The Daily Star.
