A Special Sports Event

A special event entitled “Promoting Sports and Physical activities for social inclusion and personal development of Children and Youth with Disabilities” was recently orgnaised by Manikganj Disabled Peoples' Organisation to Development in association with Handicap International in Bangladesh with financial support from Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). The event took place at Dawtia High School Field in Manikganj. The idea was to enrich the quality of life of children and youth with disabilities by developing their physical, psychological and social capacities through sports. Christian Poffet, Deputy Country Director, SDC was special guest. The competition included football, cricket badminton, wheel chair race and much more.
