Let down by an inefficient and unreliable postal service and with communication made so easy over the telephone, email and, perhaps most of all, cell phones, many of us find it hard to remember the last time we wrote a letter or sent or received something in the mail. But is the post office really a dead or dying institution, or just one waiting to be brought back to life?
