And Justice for All...
The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has a questionable reputation. Over the past five years hundreds have died in apparent 'crossfire' encounters. Unlike Bangladesh's Police forces, RAB has remained largely untouched by corruption, they performed their tasks with dignity and distinction and for the most part they were (and are still at times) well received by the public. Their only major failing was an ethical one, and as it turned out, their moral bankruptcy could be the hallmark of their legacy. How can they protect and enforce law, when seemingly they are above it themselves? The culture of impunity must be dismantled.
