Eid Special

Eid is a very important day in our lives. It is one of those days when we can all come together and celebrate. It is a day of joy, happiness and sharing. It is a day when we forget all divisions of status and wealth and pray together to the Almighty. The way we celebrate Eid changes along with time. Many will remember the Eid of their childhood being quite different from the celebrations they see today. There are generational differences. Star Insight's special offering this Eid is all about what Eid meant to some of our favorite personalities, when they were young.

Star Insight is happy to present this special 32 page Eid Issue for you. In this special issue you will find reminiscences from writer Selina Hossain, educationist Nausheba Khatun, filmmaker Tareque Masud, singer Farida Parvin and a very insightful conversation with artists Rafiqun Nabi and Shishir Bhattacharya. All these people now reside in Dhaka, but they grew up elsewhere, mostly in rural settings. The folk tale published here, translated by Prof. Kabir Chowdhury will also be a delight for our readers.
