A Letter to the Parents

RH Khan

Iwant to start my writing with a real story. It's the story of a young man. Let's name him Tushar. He was a student of a famous school and college. He passed his S.S.C and H.S.C with an excellent result. He wants to be a computer engineer. But his father wants him to study medical science. Accordingly, his father got him admitted in a renowned coaching center for medical coaching. But he is not interested to study this subject. So he lost the chance to get himself admitted both in a medical college and the engineering university. Finally, he got chance in a public university and selected an important subject. But he cannot cope with this subject. And that's the reason why he managed to pass with a very low GPA . Now he is frustrated about his life. But this would not have happened if his parents had encouraged him to be what he wanted to be.

In most cases, in our country, our parents determine what his son or daughter should be in life. But, parents should give the right to their sons and daughters to choose their own subject that interests them. Every person has certain endowments, which if given the opportunity, he /she may put to use to prove his/her excellence. So my plea to our parents would be, try not to impose strict rules on your sons and daughters regarding their choices for their future. You should give him / her, the chance to prove their worth with their own choice.
