AIUB's rocking freshers' welcome

THE students and teachers of AIUB's English and Mass Communication departments put up a sizzling display of creativity and entertainment in the Freshers' Acquaintance Party organised by the Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences (FASS) on 15 June, Sunday, at the AIUB auditorium. The two-and-half hour programme, featuring satire dramas, classical and group dances, rap fusion, creative fashion show, advertisement parody, fusion band show etc., by freshmen and seniors, captivated the full house audience with awe and pleasure. A special feature of the show was the rendering of Bangla folk & modern as well as English classic numbers by faculty members of Social Sciences, Economics, Advertising, Mass Communication and English.
Professor Dr. Anwar Hossain, Pro Vice Chancellor of AIUB blessed the freshmen as the Chief Guest while Dr. Charles Villanueva, Dean of FASS; Dr. Faheem Hasan Shahed, Head of English Department; and Mr. Manjur H. Khan, Coordinator of Student Affairs welcomed them for their eloquence. An equally vibrant snacks party followed the enthralling show.
