The DU Experience: Lessons Beyond the Classrooms
While doing my MBA from one the leading business schools of the US, I came across a book titled, “Things they don't teach at Harvard.” As the interesting title suggests, the book is an insightful reading on issues that have a significant effect on the performance of a manager but which hardly gets discussed in the formal ambience of a classroom of even one of the most well respected business schools of the world.
Democratic Ecology! Famous designer Philippe Starck recently revealed he felt a certain shame that all the things he'd designed were not essential for living. This turbine which he designed with the help of generator company Pramac, can theoretically provide a single home with 20-60% of all the electricity it needs. The name, which needs the prefix "turbo" in front of it, is "Democratic Ecology.
My favourite season?
Back in schooldays, when my teacher would give me this topic to write an essay or a paragraph, without any second thought, I would start scribbling on the copy and continue writing till my imagination ended. All through my childhood, my most favourite season had been the season of poetry- rainy season. I remember this was my favourite topic. I would write about the sudden gush of chilly wind, I would write about the ivory sky.
