Narinda Christian Graveyard

THIS is one of the oldest witnesses of East India Company of Dhaka city. It is claimed by the historians that this place was selected sometime in 17th Century for a Cemetery.

Bishop Heber sanctified this graveyard on 22nd July 1824 and described that this place was situated about a mile away from local habitat and most of the graves are of rich British businessmen of 18th century. Now this Cemetery in under Armanian Church and most of the old epitaph is broken and marbles are stolen. We now recognize this place as “Narinda Christian Graveyard.
