ISD Celebrations

Santa Claus at ISD
International School Dhaka (ISD) celebrated Christmas on 14th December, prior to closing of the school for winter. There was a Christmas tree decorated by the ISD Parent-Teacher Association in the school Reception. On the morning of 14th the white-bearded Santa Claus, also known as Father Christmas, appeared wearing a red coat with white collar and cuffs and red trousers. He greeted the students with gifts of sweets.

ISD Celebrates Victory Day
International School Dhaka (ISD) celebrated Victory Day in a colorful manner on 15th December. All local and international community dressed in red and green to mark the occasion. The national flag was hoisted at the front of the school and an introduction about the significance of the day was given by ISD CEO Stephen Murray to the students. A cultural program took place which began with the national anthem.

ISD Observes Human Rights Day
Grade 8 Humanities class at ISD marked Human Rights Day on 10th December 2009.

Students observed the day by decorating the school with posters of current human rights issues as well as information posters that contain the many ways in which the United Nations upholds the promotion of universal human rights and fundamental freedoms.
