We see them every day. They help keep the campus tidy, bring food during recess, remind us of our time table, run around managing logistics and sometimes even help students pick and choose courses at the beginning of the semester. Nothing goes past them unnoticed. While paying a visit to your old campus, years after you graduate, these familiar faces light up and rush towards you to say 'hello'. They remember you, and beckon you with a smile as soon as they spot you. On May Day, we remember fondly all the campus 'mamas' and 'khalas'.
