ACCA Bangladesh launches Foundations in Accountancy

ACCA organised a launching ceremony of Foundations in Accountancy arranged by the Bangladesh chapter of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants, a global accountancy body committed to heighten the opportunities of Accountancy worldwide at a seminar held at the Winter Garden of Ruposhi Bangla Hotel in Dhaka on June 7, 2011.

Dr A A M S Arefin Siddique, Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University was present as the chief guest. Lucia Real Martin, Director, Emerging Markets, Asia, Mohua Rashid, Country Manager of ACCA Bangladesh, Stephen Roman, Regional Director for South Asia, British Council were present at the programme among other distinguished guests. Dr Anisur Rahman Khan, Chairman of Chartered University College, Md Jahangir Nobi, Director Operation of AMTRAS Ltd, M A Kalam, Chief Operating Officer were in the speaker panel.

Mohua Rashid, Country Manager, ACCA, Bangladesh delivered the welcome speech. Students, parents and other members of ACCA attended the programme.

A good number of students, parents and other members of ACCA attended the programme. The event was sponsored by the Chartered University College as the Premier Partner and co-sponsored by AMTRAS, BPP. LCBS Dhaka was the co-partner.
