Award Ceremony

Twelve students from Rajshahi University received Professor Arun Kumar Bosak award and scholarship 2007-08 for achieving the highest marks in different areas of study.

Rajshahi University Vice Chancellor Professor Abdus Sobhan distributed the checks and crests among the students as the chief guest while Physics Department chairman Professor Mushfikur Rahman distributed certificates at the ceremony.

Five students received Professor Bosak award while seven students from different year of Physics department received Bosak Scholarship.

Addressing at the ceremony, RU Vice Chancellor Professor Abdus Sobhan said proper evaluation and re-organisation is very necessary to expand knowledge of students.

He also said that there is no alternative of practical knowledge and creativity along with the higher certificates in the world.

He urged the students to devote themselves for the welfare of the country and said that the award would encourage the next generation students.

Penincula Welfare Trust chairman Professor M Aminul Islam, Secretary Dr M Rezaur Rahim, Physics Department chairman Professor Mushfiq Ahmed and Professor Tufazzal Hossain Tarafdar among others spoke at the programme.

Penincula Welfare Trust gave the award and scholarship every year in the name of eminent Physician Professor Emeritus Arun Kumar Bosak.
