Programme On Importance of Ethics in Business:
How Accountants Can Contribute

ACCA Bangladesh arranged a programme on “Importance of Ethics in Business: How Accountants Can Contribute” at Radisson Water Garden Hotel (Grand Ball room) on September 21, 2011. The president of the People 's Republic of Bangladesh Md Zillur Rahman was present in the programme as chief guest. He Spoke about the importance of ethics in business. Helen Brand OBE, the CE of ACCA, along with Nicholas Low, the Acting British High Commissionar, Jim McCabe, CEO, Standard Chartered Bank, Mohua Rashid, Country Manager, ACCA Bangladesh, delivered their valuable speechregarding an accountant's contribution in business with ethical obligation.

ACCA Bangladesh, since its inception in 2008, has been involved in numerous programmes and activities to meet the country's ever increasing needs for accountants for “Good Governance” and believes in the ethical obligation in business as a fundamental requirement. The programme promoted the idea of long run initiatives to create more accountable business environment in the country.
