World Education Congress 2012

World Education Congress 2012 was held during June 29-30, at Mumbai, India. The major focus of the Congress was “Learning in the 21st Century: Rights and Access to Education”. It was a gathering of hundreds of educational leaders from 88 different countries serving in the field of higher education.

The Congress selected a few countries made significant contributions in the different areas of education. Mr Nurul Islam Nahid, the Minister of Education, Bangladesh, Dr David Richard Namwandi, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Education, Namiba, and Mr Lyonpo Thakur Powdyel, Minister of Education, Bhutan, were also among the awardees for their outstanding contribution in the field of education.

Professor Md Golam Samdani Fakir, Pro Vice Chancellor of BRAC University was invited in the Congress. He received award for making outstanding contribution in teaching and learning. A good number of distinguished educationists presented papers on several aspects of teaching and learning at higher education level.

Professor Md Golam Samdani Fakir, Pro Vice Chancellor of BRAC University presented a paper on “Building a Vision for Higher Education: The Experiences of Teaching and Learning Centre (TLC) at BRAC University”. The programme was highly appreciated by all those present.
