It's a Wonderful Life

What makes life wonderful? A beautiful mind and lots of successful moments! Students of University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS) believe that “A wonderful personality triumphs over a wonderful life.” Everything - learning, career or self development -- is for real success, for a wonderful life.

With this vision, the BBA students of UITS organised a two-day long workshop, from August 1 to August 2, under the title “It's a Wonderful Life” with the slogan “Self development for success”. The workshop consisted of three sessions - (1) Learning, (2) Career and Professionalism, and (3) Wonderful Life and Personality.

The opening speech was given by the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr K M Saiful Islam Khan, and the Dean of School of Business, Professor A N M Shareef, and Honourable Vice-Chancellor of UITS, Professor Dr Mohammad Samad were present at the event. The presence of the Founder Chairman of the PHP group and University of Information Technology and Sciences, Alhaj Sufi Mohammad Mizanur Rahman put a remarkable value to the students and faculty members during the workshop. Sufi Mohammad Mizanur Rahman said, “This kind of initiative is the full of blessings from Almighty, because it's about self-development, about self-purification and renewal. This is a wonderful initiative by these future professionals and you people are the future of our Bangla, the golden harvest of Bangladesh”.

The initiator, Nazia Nabi, Head of BBA Programme, said, “Our objective is to facilitate our students with a self-development programme for success in academic, professional and personal life, through building a wonderful personality. Because we believe, a wonderful personality can get a wonderful life.”

“It's a Wonderful Life” is a student development project, in which the workshop is organised by the students of 8th - 12th batch of the BBA Programme of UITS; under the supervision of the initiator Assistant Professor Nazia Nabi, Head of BBA Programme, School of Business, UITS. It is aimed to develop and improve their learning academic, professional and personal skills for a wonderful life.

In the first session, Shakerul provided the participants with the insight of learning, the sparks of improving learning skills and learning goals. In the second session, he shared his insights for developing the attitude of professionalism and highly effective personality and finally, the workshop ended with a discussion on self motivated lifestyle (academic, personal, and professional). Along the workshop, different movies and videos were projected to build a shared value on the topics. The workshop sparked the insights to enlighten the life and society.

Participants showed great interest and enthusiasm to participate in the upcoming workshops similar to this. It is a great opportunity of self renewal and a way to develop a progressive life style. The team believes that this kind of initiative will bring good changes for the students and the society. They look forward to the upcoming workshops, the next thunder of lightening.
