BAFA: Fifty Years of Nurturing Talent

Bulbul Academy of Arts (BAFA), the oldest art, dance and music academy in Bangladesh has completed its 50th years. BAFA's popularity can be traced to its total intake year round. The number of students stands at around four thousand during admission. As BAFA provides a four-year-long course for both children and adults, it has become a reliable institution for students with the aspiration to nurture their talent. The strongest point of BAFA has been its teaching body. Several ace performers of the country are in charge of the departments in this institution whose history is entwined with that of Bangladesh and its people. BAFA boasts of producing most of the talented artists of the country. As it completes its 50th year SWM throws light on the personalities who dedicated their lives to maintain the tradition.
