Srabon Reza

There are many families still in Bangladesh who subsist on the fish they have caught with nets they have woven by hand. The photograph shows a more than ninety year old lady weaving a net. Perhaps she is not doing it out of necessity, perhaps she is doing it for the sheer enjoyment.

Srabon Reza is a final year student of Sociology at Dhaka College. He has earned a Diploma in Photography from Prism Photography Institute Dhaka in 2009, and works as a staff photojournalist at The Daily Jugantor.His 1st solo photography exhibition “Beyond the Dream” was organized by La Gallerie of Alliance Françoise de Dhaka between 6 June and 19 June 2008.
