Noor Ahmed Gelal has been a photographer since 2003, and has taken part in various photo competitions. He expressed, “I am really elated to have received the prize. It is an official recognition of my work. I believe this accolade from The Daily Star will definitely boost up my confidence and inspire my dedication to photography.”

Gelal took this photo and plucked out the scenic beauty to capture it from the Sundarbans. On that note he says, “Celebrating Life is a great initiative taken by the Daily Star. This could inspire photographers to be more responsible in making people aware about the importance of nature in human life, and raise awareness in protecting nature.”
