Stand Up Against Poverty
 United Nations Youth and Students Association, UNYSAB organized 2-day long global Stand Up Against Poverty campaign of the United Nations Millennium Campaign.
The 2-day event was actually a 24 hour campaign from 10 GMT 15th Oct to 10 GMT 16th Oct, 2006 coordinated in cooperation with the Guinness World Records to create a world record for the most number of people across the world standing up for the same cause. In Bangladesh the campaign was organised through various UN agencies, associations and NGOs. To bring awareness and much needed weight to an issue that is on the world stage as well as in our country some youth events have been organised to show our solidarity.
