First Inter-Department Football Tournament
 The First Inter Department Football Tournament final match took place at the university playground on 7 October. In the final match Management Studies department defeated Mathematics department by 1-0 goal. They secured their position as First Inter Department Football Champion of Comilla University. In the final match the Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Amir Hossen Khan, Registrar, teachers and students were present.

East West University Business Club organised a seminar titled Agro Business: Challenges and Opportunities at their auditorium on 28 November.
Shykh Seraj, Director and Head of News, Channel-I, was present as the guest speaker in this programme while Professor Mohammed Sharif, Vice Chancellor of EWU chaired the session. In his presentation, Seraj explained the challenges that Agro-business is facing in the context of bureaucracy, environment, financing, technology, infrastructure and lack of available land in Bangladesh.
In vote of thanks-speech, Vice-Chancellor Professor Mohammed Sharif concluded the session by thanking Seraj for his valuable speech on a time-befitting topic for the students. Professor Dr. Nazrul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics also spoke on this occasion.

Advance Trading Affairs
Learning in Capital Markets
 Faculty of Business and Economics of Daffodil International University organised a daylong workshop on Advance Trading Affairs Learning in Capital Market on November 27 at DIU Auditorium.
This workshop was organised under Capital Market Education Programme for those who are already in Share market and want to increase their knowledge to be successful in this area. Participants attending the programme were privileged of having more effective and much needed knowledge and information thoroughly and elaborately on capital market affairs for making a wise investment decision as well as availing career-building prospect in the field of Capital Market.
The Resource Person of the workshop was Prof. M. Shahjahan Mina, Adviser, Faculty of Business and Economics. Prof. Dr. Mizanur Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics were present as the Special Guest. Tanzina Hossain, Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Business and Economics conducted the workshop. Around 70 students of different departments participated in the workshop.
NUS Convenes Inaugural Asia PeopleSoft Enterprise Campus Solutions Special Interest Group
The National University of Singapore (NUS) has convened the first ever Asia PeopleSoft Enterprise Campus Solutions Special Interest Group (Asia CSSIG) at a two-day event held on campus on November 24.
NUS raised the idea of an Asia CSSIG in response to the increasing number of higher education institutions around the region adopting Oracle's PeopleSoft Enterprise Campus Solutions.
Tommy Hor, Director of NUS Computer Centre, said: "Asian institutions are at a different stage of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions adoption compared to our counterparts in North America, Europe and Australia/New Zealand. "PeopleSoft Campus Solutions is seeing good adoption in almost every country in Asia," said David Redden, General Manager, Asia-Pacific Education Sector, Oracle.
The Asia CSSIG is open to all existing institutions that use PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, or who are considering the use of the solution. Response to the inaugural Asia CSSIG was overwhelming, with the number of attendees significantly exceeding initial expectations. The 140 participants from 25 education institutions in Singapore, Hong Kong, India, Pakistan, Malaysia also represented a good mix of management and project/support team representatives from the various institutions.
The various presentation sessions at the Asia CSSIG were helmed by participating partners who covered key aspects of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions experience from implementation, upgrades, through to the solution going 'live', and thereafter. Participating higher education institutions, including NUS, shared their experiences and key learning points about the solution. Participation from Oracle was noteworthy, with the Oracle Development organisation's Gary Allen, Senior Strategy Manager from the Oracle Campus Development team, providing insight into PeopleSoft Campus Solution product direction/updates and enhancements. Oracle Consulting Services also shared best practices and critical success factors in implementing PeopleSoft Campus Solutions across several regional universities, including NUS. There was also an update from HEUG on the organisation's latest developments.
