Capturing Colours

Don't have much to do today after class? Don't waste time then, and get your 'gang' out to check out the exhibition that is taking place today at the Bangladesh Shishu Academy. A four day event, the group photography exhibition titled 'Kaleidoscope of Life' will be showcasing four young photographers. The event is being presented by Baizid Steel Industries Limited and will be inaugurated today at 10 am by Syed Badrul Ahsan, Editor, Current Affairs, The Daily Star.
The exhibition is open from 10 am to 5 pm, February 6 - 9, 2011.

Ata: This young photographer is currently studying for an MBBS at the Sun Yat-Sen University, Guangzhou, China. Several of his works have been published as guest photo story contribution for the GZ Morning Post, a weekly English newspaper in Guangzhou, China.
Ashif: A student of Computer science and Information Technology Ashif's knack of taking photos was noticed at a very young age, when he would take photographs at family get-togethers. Describing himself as 'random' and 'normal', his photographs depict the colours blending in with one's vision.
Maisha: A student of Computer Science and Engineering at the BRAC University, Dhaka, Bangladesh, Maisha's passion for photography began from a very young age. Her ideas revolve around the realities that surround her in her day to day life. Yamin: His passion for photography has taken him to several exhibitions both national and international. Some of his photographs were also chosen for a coffee table booklet by Boulevard of Photographers in Ontario, Canada. His work also earned its place in “Lumix Click to Fame” contest where it stood 11th position out of 100 pictures amongst 6,500 entries. Yamin has also received a 2nd place in a photography exhibition organised by AISEC of Independent University Bangladesh (IUB), Chittagong Campus under the category 'Open Theme'.
