Saraswati Puja: On-Campus Festivity!
Photos: Kazi Tahsin Agaz Apurbo

Saraswati is the Goddess of knowledge, art and music. She is also known as "Bani Archona" meaning speech. Saraswati Puja is celebrated with vibrant colours and the sound of dhaks and dhols at the happening Jagannath Hall. Students go to these places and get intoxicated by the sweet smell of prashads and flowers and enter a state of trance when they dance and celebrate with their friends. Mandaps loom over people and devotees cast a spiritual spell in the air with their worships and ululations.
