For the Betterment of the Film Industry

I studied in KG i and KG ii at B A F Shaheen School and College, Chittagong. Then I studied at B A F Shaheen School and College at Kurmitola in Dhaka up to HSC. My life, both at school and college, had passed in glee and they are full of sweet and sour memories. I had a group of 10-11 friends and we used to share everything. Back in school, we were extremely attached to each other. I remember, after passing SSC, when our families were planning to send us to different colleges, we made a master plan. We bought admission forms belonging to different colleges, but we did not write anything in the exam scripts during the admission tests. We did all that just to stay together at the same college and we succeeded!

I must say that our group was the most mischievous one, both in school and college. When anyone from our group had a crush on a girl, others used to help him approach her and those were hilarious experiences. We are still a group, even today! After HSC, I joined the Department of Pharmacy at University of Asia Pacific. Actually, I did not choose this subject to pursue a career related to it. I had a background in Science and I was inspired by one of my friend's brother who studied Pharmacy at the University of Asia Pacific (UAP). Also, I wanted to avoid the session jots that usually occur at public universities. Interestingly, most of my friends from school and college joined me at university as well.

Though I took seven long years to complete my Bachelors, I always maintained a balance between my study and career in modeling and acting. I used to schedule everything in a way that things never became messy. For example, at the beginning of each semester I tried my best to take those courses that are scheduled in two days of the week. I used to avoid shootings and other works during those two days. And, rest of the days, I used to focus on my work.

In 2004, when I was a student of first year, I did my first photo-session with a friend and in the same year, I won the contest, 'You've Got the Look.' Currently, I just want to work in good films. I plan to work for the betterment of our film industry which is still in a sorry state. From my stand, I would play my best role for the development of this industry.

I have a few suggestions for the upcoming generation —think less, and do more. Do not roam around aimlessly and make quick decisions in life. Stay away from drugs and be careful while choosing friends, because peer pressure is something that sometimes can drag you into trouble. So choose your acquaintances wisely and stay healthy.
