Blue Tie Challenge

Blue Tie Challenge is a case competition designed for top 10 universities of the country to attract cream of the talents. Through this competition, Nestle Bangladesh identifies future talents who can take up the challenge and join Nestle Bangladesh limited in future.

Under this programme, Nestle team visits university campuses and share information about Nestle Bangladesh, its culture, values and career opportunities. The students, who are in the final year, attend this one hour session and through a question answer round, ask their queries to the authorities of Nestle Bangladesh. Blue Tie Challenge is introduced to them through these road shows.

Blue Tie Challenge is a case competition designed for identifying the best talents from these schools. One team consisting of four members nominated by university authorities participate in this competition. First, the case is given a day before the final round which they present to leaders from Nestle on the day of the finale. Based on presentation, top five teams are selected who are given three hours to solve a second case. The winner, first runner up and second runner up are selected through the final presentation. The competition was first launched in 2011 and this year, it continued with great zeal.

This year, Blue Tie Challenge competition went to Business schools of North South University (NSU), University of Dhaka (Department of Finance and Marketing), East West University ( EWU), Independent University, Bangladesh(IUB), Institute of Business Administration (IBA)-University of Dhaka, American International University Bangladesh (AIUB), and BRAC University. Also, it extended its opportunity for technical schools like BUET. The road shows started from October 3, 2012 and the final round was held on November 15, 2012 at Independent University Bangladesh (IUB).
