Cover Story

Life
Limited

For every step women take forward, they must go back a few steps more. It is not just physical immobility that constricts women's freedom but social prejudice and parochial state mechanisms that ensure that they go only so far. Social constraints are so strong that they even manage to make women believe that they are not entitled to freedoms equal to their male counterparts. Thus they give in to the conspiracy of setting limits to their freedom. But what really is 'freedom' for a woman, and how free is she really?
