Music Planet Certificate Distribution

Music Planet a renowned music school at Gulshan organised its second certificate distribution program on the 24th of September 2010 at the music and dance auditorium of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.

The Chief Guest of the programme was G. M. Quader, Honourable Minister, Civil Aviation and Tourism, Peoples Republic of Bangladesh, while special guests renowned musicians Kumar Bishwajit, Ayub Bachhu were also present in the occasion.

A K M Shahidullah Islam Miah, Managing Director, Uni-global Group, A K M Mazibur Rahman, Managing Director, safe International Ltd. Shabbir Ahmed, Director, Music Planet, Saifuddin Saki, Managing Director, Music Planet, Labu Rahman, Department Head, and other renowned musicians such as, Piaru Khan, Feedback, Fuad Nasser Babu, Feedback, Pilu Khan Renessa, Selim Haider, renowned guitarist and many other guests came in the certificate programme.

Honourable Minister distributed certificates to a total of 84 students after which followed a cultural program where the students performed which was appreciated by the guests.

After the successful programme when Saifuddin Saki, Managing Director, Music Planet was asked he said “music planet has always been very dedicated towards teaching modern music training and will continue to do better.” He also announced that music planet will start its new courses from October and welcomed those who are interested, requested to contact with following 01720564951 and 01678029843 numbers.


'YES' Regional Convention 2010

The annual convention of Youth Engagement and Support (YES), volunteer group of Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) who works under guidance and observation of Committee of Concerned Citizens took place on 8-9 October at the Institution of Engineers Bangladesh, Chittagong Center. This year, around 200 YES members of five CCCs Chittagong Metropolitan, Chandpur, Comilla, Chokoria, and Potia took part in this programme.

The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Iftekharuzzaman, Executive Director, TIB. Jesmin Sultana Paru, Convener of YES and Chittagong Metropolitan was present as Chair.

The open discussion session, the YES members of all the areas mentioned their problems and expectations to TIB.

Among the YES of above-mentioned five CCCs, one representative of each groups described their achievement against corruption along with the challenges in last year.

In the last session, presentations were made by the representatives of each groups regarding observation of national and international days from 25 November to 10 December.

YES is the platform which gives the scope to the youth to raise their voice collectively against corruption. The convention is the appropriate forum for the YES groups to discuss their attainments, challenges and future plans to combat corruption.
