OIS takes Traffic Initiative

Oxford International School has started a traffic initiative outside the school premises on road 27 in Dhanmondi. OIS is providing a well-trained team of Traffic Marshalls to encourage sensible crossing between 08:00 and 08:30.

Students gather in small groups opposite the school and wait until an OIS Traffic Marshall stops the traffic on one side before they cross. When the students reach the middle of the road, a second OIS Traffic Marshall stops the traffic on the other side.

OIS is working hard on re-educating students; parents, teachers and other pedestrians are now able to cross the road easily and safely.

The OIS Security Advisor and Australian Teacher Trainers and Educational Specialists are coordinating this new kind of school crossing.
