Recognising the Young Talent

An award giving ceremony and annual dinner of Penfield School was held on January 30, 2011 at the Marriott Convention Centre. M. Azizul Haque, former IGP and Advisor to the Caretaker Government was the chief guest, while the renowned mathematician Prof. AFM Khodadad Khan was present as special guest. Guests of honour were, Prof, M. Abdul Hai, Syed Shahriyar Ahsan, ND, United Insurance Company, Saidur Rahman,Country Manager, Edexcel Bangladesh,Dr. Ahmed Neaz, Advisor AIUB, Dr. Naushadun Nabi,Chief Consultant, Dept.of Pediatrics, LabAid General Hospital and Saleh Uddin Ahmed Choudhury, Head of Credit, NCC Bank Limited.

Penfield School started its journey with a vision to provide comprehensive education at all levels. Here students are offered with special assistance from experienced faculties of the school. Penfield designed its teaching methodology based on modern technology and multimedia, Internet, interactive boards, lectures based on visualisation which helps the students understand their lessons and enhances their intellectual capability making them active learners. The school has developed all its labs as per Edexcel criteria.

Creativity and intellectual development start from an early age, keeping it in mind the school has designed its junior section curriculum based on the standard of renowned international schools. The curriculum also includes instances from text books and other study materials.

Cultural and sports activities are considered as part of the curriculum. These activities help students form unity among the students, the goal being transforming these students into good citizens who can contribute to nation bulding. The school regularly holds cultural and sports events. The school has facilities like billiard, badminton, chess, football and cricket.
