1st Commencement Ceremony of Newton Hotel School held

Newton Hotel School is a training centre immersed in a five-star hotel environment. The goal of the school is to train students to become world-class hotel employees through an intensive, practical training programme based on an internationally recognised learning system that is relevant, accessible and affordable.

Launched in January, Newton Hotel School (NHS) held its first convocation ceremony on March 06, 2012 at their sprawling, state-of-the-art training centre in Mohakhali. A total of seven students were awarded certificates in a simple but elegant event amidst industry stalwarts, hoteliers, trainers, family and friends.

Sayyied Kabir, Managing Director of Newton International Limited, the owning company of NHS said, "Our goal is to make our students job-ready to prosper in the global marketplace. The quality of our content, our facilities, our trainers and our career placement guarantees the best possible hotel skills training in Bangladesh today."

Atiq Rahman, Executive Director of Ocean Paradise Hotel and also Senior Advisor of NHS was present at the occasion to hand out certificates to the new graduates. Addressing the students, all of whom have been placed with top hotels in Dhaka and Cox's Bazar, Rahman said, "It is now time for you to put into practice what you have learnt in this school. The future of the hotel industry in Bangladesh and in the world is very bright; you must make use of most of it."
