How To Teach A Lesson

During my college days, I lived in the college hostel. There were five of us in one room. All of us were very studious except for one. He was the more 'chalak' (clever) type. He used to annoy us every day after his studies were over and the intensity of it increased every day! One day it was raining since morning so we had decided to stay in and catch up on some sleep after lunch. Our 'chalak' room mate was also getting ready to hit the bed and the four of us suddenly realised that it was the perfect time to get back at him! After he had fallen asleep, we dragged his bed in the middle of the room making sure he does not wake up. We shut the curtains to make the room dark and we put candles all around his bed. One of our friends covered himself from head to toe in white and stood right in front of the bed. Then we began to recite the saying which is normally recited when a dead body is taken to a graveyard. We started to recite it very loudly and suddenly, the boy woke up and screamed at the top of his lungs. It was the funniest thing ever and best of all, he stopped annoying us since then!

No Such Thing as Agricultural Math

When I was in class eight, I had a teacher named Nurul Islam. He was our Agriculture Studies teacher. Usuaully, as bad as this sounds, we used to laugh a lot every time he was around because of the way he walked and talked. Every time he entered the class we used to try very hard to control ourselves and ended up smiling like geeks instead. One day, he came to our Math class instead of his usual class. We were astonished yet impressed to see a man that we used to make fun of teach us math. He announced that he was going to take our Math class and started solving problems on the black board. A little later, he gave up after just one problem and said that there was, apparently, an error in the question and moved on to the next problem. After about 10-20 minutes of blood, sweat and tears (yes, I am exaggerating but he really seemed like he was struggling), he just gave up and left the class. We made fun of him and yes, that is bad. But, you see, we had a good reason!

Trouser Mayhem

The school I attended was The Cambridge High school and like all other schools there, we had uniforms and thankfully, ours was not too ugly. As students are, they would always try to rebel against it, so one day this guy decided that he would wear the baggiest pair of pants, with a weird chain belt. In my opinion, it made him look like a homeless person but he thought it looked cool. Our principal, Mr Jegs, was probably having the worst day possible and bumped into that boy and started yelling at him. Eventually everyone gathered around to see what was happening since it was so loud and everyone could hear. After Mr Jegs asked him why he was wearing whatever it is he was wearing, he said, “Sir, I didn't think it would be a problem!” Out of frustration, Mr jegs tugged on the belt he was wearing harder then he meant to, and the pants slipped and fell down before anyone realised what just happened. All I remember was that we laughed so hard we had cramps all over!
