One Way Ticket to Burger Heaven

I remember just a couple of years ago; I used to hate eating outside. Especially when I had the craving for some good fast-food, I would always opt to make something at home myself or just stick to the usual 'bhaat-daal' due to the lack of good fast-food in Dhaka city. But, over the years, Dhaka has revolutionised its take on fast-food and the city is now filled with fast-food joints offering lip-smacking burgers, pizzas, hot dogs and more. One such fast-food joint, situated at the entrance at Shimanto Square, is the Malay burger joint- Ramly Burger.

Along with many other fast-food joints situated in the same area, Ramly Burger has not taken much time to become a favourite amongst the youth today. Students from around the area from institutions like Dhaka City College, and many others, often drop by and grab a quick bite for a very reasonable price.

The juicy delicacies of Ramly Burger

The best part about the burgers from Ramly Burger is the way they make it. The chewy and succulent patties have a layer of cheese, ketchup, mayonnaise and onions (grilled, if wanted) on top and the whole package is then wrapped in an egg omelette. The buns are also grilled on a fryer. These ingredients are then, carefully assembled, the usual slices of cucumbers and tomatoes and diced lettuce are added and voila! You have for yourself an absolutely scrumptious, filling meal, all ready to be devoured.

“I love Ramly Burger because of their prices. They are so reasonable and completely worth every penny. Their burgers are extremely juicy so you need to make sure you eat them very carefully and not get the sauces all over yourself. Keeping a tissue or two will help! But no matter what, I love the burgers sold at Ramly and I go there every now and then, after college” says Syed Mujtahid, a student from Dhaka City College. Like Mujtahid, the place is usually crowded with a bunch of young students whose mouths are watering at the very sight of the burgers being made.

Ramly Burger has three different types of burgers- chicken, beef and fish, and these burgers also have their own sub-categories-- with cheese, double patty with cheese, special burger with cheese and much more. The prices range from Tk 110 all the way to Tk 290.
