The Bangali mind is multifaceted and complex. It is also full of contradictions.Bangalis are known to be resilient, hospitable, generous and laid back. But they can also be hypocritical, gossip obsessed and nosey. We also cannot stomach criticism of any kind as everything that goes wrong is somebody else's fault. Which is why SWM is embarking upon rather dangerous grounds by poking fun at some of the less flattering aspects of the Bangali psyche. Perhaps our biggest excuse is that we too are Bangalis and share the collective Bangu bashing.
