"We have taken measures to shutter the shops. I think the sooner they are closed, the better."
Major General MD MAINUL ISLAM

declaring the closure of BDR-run shops.
"Those (private firm) who are running the business now are cashing in on the name and goodwill of BDR," he has also said.

"The agreement is for 10 years. If the government decides to shut down the shops, what will become of our investment?"
Col (retd) KAMAL AHMAD
managing director of Nirmal Udyog
a company that manages the BDR-run shops.

"We are observing anti-government programmes besides going ahead with our reorganisation process. The matter of four-party alliance did not formally come up for discussion. But top leaders will sit when the proper time comes. "
MIRZA FAKHRUL ISLAM ALAMGIR
Senior Joint Secretary General
Bangladesh Nationalist Party.

" Sleep not only rights the wrong of prolonged wakefulness, but, at a neurocognitive level, it moves you beyond where you were before you took a nap."
