Certificate Distribution Ceremony at Northern University

The Certificate Distribution Ceremony of the training "Partners in Learning" program jointly organized by Northern University Bangladesh (NUB) and Microsoft Bangladesh Ltd. with reorganization and permission of the Ministry of Education was held on September 23, 2006 at the BIAM Auditorium, Dhaka. Mr. Carter W Wilbur, Representative of US Embassy was present on the occasion as Chief Guest while Prof Dr M Shamsul Haque, Chairperson of IBAT Trust, the sponsoring body of Northern University Bangladesh presided over the ceremony. Professor Dr Syed Rashidul Hasan, Pro-Vice Chancellor of National University, Mr Md Jalal Ahmed Khan, IT Advisor, Microsoft Bangladesh, M Abu Bakar Siddique, Treasurer and Acting VC of NUB, Professor Dr Nurul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Science, NUB spoke on the occasion.

Twinning arrangement between ICMAB & CIMA (UK)

A three-member team headed by Prof Roland Kaye, immediate Past President of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) of UK visited the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) on September 18 & 19, 2006 for assessing the needs in order to elevate ICMAB's professional standard to CIMA and global level under a World Bank financed project titled “Strengthening Accounting and Auditing Standards and Practices in the Corporate Sector.”

ALL graduates cherish the dream of getting into a good job. In the field of engineering, getting a desired job is one of the most challenging tasks today. Companies are very keen to judge the young job-seekers and they are evaluated in all sorts of ways, starting from screening interviews, written tests, technical interviews and so on.
