On October 14, 2012, 'Rivers of the World,' an international art exhibition, arranged by the British Council, Bangladesh, and HSBC, was held at the Dhaka Art Center and Rabindra Sarobar. The Bangladesh phase of the exhibition displayed river inspired art works, collaboratively created by students of six schools from Sylhet (through British Council's Connecting Classroom project) and artist Syed Rashad Imam Tanmoy with his mentor, famous Cartoonist and Writer Ahsan Habib.

Andrew Tilke, Chief Executive Officer, HSBC, Bangladesh, and Rosemary Arnott, Director, British Council, Bangladesh, were present at the exhibition. The exhibition began with a visual presentation titled 'Behind the Scenes: Making of the Art Works' by Photographer, Tamanna Tasmeem. Later, a press conference was held after which the gates of the art center gallery were opened to the art lovers to come and enjoy the fantastic creations of the young artists. The classic Nokshikatha works to hand paintings of the children, show our heritage and our rivers through the best eyes, the eyes of innocence.

The second session of the exhibition was held at Rabindra Sarobar. The paintings displayed during this session were quite extraordinary in the sense that they captured the real essence of our heritage and culture.

The exhibition is going to be held till October 19, 2012. This is a must see exhibition, which will blow your minds, as it will allow you to enter the maze of the artists' world of creativity.
