Refreshing Old Memories

I am a great fan of CID. I have always wanted to solve a mysterious case on my own. So, one day my mom was cleaning the house and she took out some old files, pictures and some other old stuff. I went to that room to see the old pictures, when I came across an old diary. I thought it was the diary my father used to write his poetry down in. When I opened the diary, I took a look at the first page and in big, bold letters, the writing read " I LOVE YOU". I ran to my younger brother to go to mom and tell her that I can't write cursive, in case she thought the diary was mine. My brother did as told. To my utter surprise, my mother revealed that it was actually her writing in the diary which she had given to my father the day they got married! My father walked in and took the diary away from me saying, “You shouldn't touch other peoples' diaries!” and began reading it himself. Seeing the shy smile on his face, I was glad to be able to bring back some good old memories for my parents!

OOBLECK

A couple of months ago, Dr Seuss' 'Oobleck' turned out to be the inspiration for a science fair project for my friends and I. Basically, our intention was to have fun with the project but it seemed to have gained popularity too. Our project was really simple- we just mixed corn flour with water and bring it to such a consistency that, under force, it acts like a solid, but is, otherwise, a liquid. Every simple, delicate ideas amaze people. And the same happened with us. But at the end of the day, along with the wide smiles on our faces, we were white all over too! My friends and I could not stop laughing when we looked at each other. We looked like those painters after a long hard day of painting a house! That is because we took 13 kilograms of corn flour and mixed it with water all by ourselves! But at the end of all of this fun and mess, we ended up winning the science fair!

Extreme Humiliation

I've been in university for a couple of months now. I usually hang out in the library with my friends while we catch up on some reading. So, there is this very pretty librarian, very young, who I caught staring at me a lot. I used to feel a little awkward but it was pleasant nonetheless, because she was very good looking. My friends kept asking me to approach her and ask her out. So, I, for the first time in my life, approached an unknown girl and I asked her if she wants to have coffee with me. Her instant reply was, “Why me?” I was a little baffled at that, so I said, “Because you stare at me!” I'm quite certain she got a little offended at that and, instantly, went into denial saying, “Who me? I don't stare at you!” I was so shocked that I didn't know what else to say, so I just said, “Oh, okay,” and smiled awkwardly and left as she turned her back to me. Going back to the table, I had turned red all over from embarrassment, and, believe me; my friends didn't help with all the laughing and pointing! It was one of the most humiliating things that had ever happened to me!
