Celebrating Childhood

Md. Akhlas Uddin has been a professional photographer since 1995. He says that this was one of the best pictures he has ever captured. The smiles on the children's faces, the whole group on a tree, all of them rejoicing in conquering it: it's this aspect that makes the photograph unique. Akhlas was the happiest man the moment he had taken this picture.

This photograph, an Honourable Mention, was taken in 2007 in Sunamganj. Akhlas says that the Celebrating Life Competition is a great festival which portrays the beauty of the country at a glance. It inspires others to express their creativity and to celebrate life at all times. The competition has inspired him as well.
