Every year, Star Insight tracks down the best film makers, photographs and lyricists through the Celebrating Life contest. And, every year, Star Insight's first issue of the year applauds the 12 winners of the last year's Photography contest with a special issue devoted only to them. The contest is thematic, and 2010's contest was about 'Indomitable Bangladesh'. As such, the winning photographs portray people who persist against adverse odds, whose actions are testaments of their bravery and steadfast resolution. Let us begin the year hoping that we can be as strong and as positive as these people throughout the year.

These photographs never fail to encourage us, and we hope that our readers find joy and inspiration in them as well.
